What Would a Machine as Smart as God Want? | scientific theology | god state | commentary

---Scientific theologian Freeman Dyson on the long-term future of intelligence: "I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.” -source link

---When I interviewed Dyson in 1993, he expressed confidence that the quest for knowledge would never end, because knowledge is infinite.-source link -source link

If the hypotheses collectively known as the finitude of the possible turn out correct even partially correct, it may be possible that such may in some sense effectively come to an end, if there's an intimate relation between the finite and the infinite, such that the infinite is bound by the finite, 'omniscience' may be possible with a vast yet finite construct', such a being may actually restrict its knowledge and powers to further enjoyment and consumption of art, temporarily or indefinitely, depends on what is set in motion upon acquisition of the god state.
